We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday at school today and as I listened to his poem "Oh, the Places You'll Go!," my mind wandered. God began using this simplistic, child's poem to resonate a new passion in my heart. I realized in order to avoid complacency and stagnation, it is imperative that you challenge yourself and anticipate new things. The expectancy and preparation are what make life exciting and renew our passion for connection.

With each new dimension of life comes pressure, anticipation, and fear. What happens when your friends or family do not support your new endeavors? Never be scared of the places you will go, He has already walked ahead of you. What happens when God stretches you and you begin seeing things from new perspective? His heartbeat is more than we can imagine or conceive. The only way to reach new heights and go new places is to do things you have never done. Isn't it time we all evaluate where we are and where God is calling us to?

We are each called to new places, but sometimes you have to chart your own path. There may not be a safe route paved for you, you may not be popular, and you may grow tired and weary, but your passionate obedience is an awakening. I challenge you to ask God what places he wants you to go? I dare you to answer the call to move and stop being stagnant . . . . what place lies ahead of you?
